Southampton Port Health Authority are hosting a one day training opportunity for experienced officers on behalf of APHA.
This will be a one day (6 core hours) training event to be held on Thursday 21st May 2015.
The day will begin with delegates partaking in a practical sampling workshop at Southampton BIP and then progress to nearby facilities within the port of Southampton to discuss standard operating procedures, use of RASFF and interpretation of results.
Up to twenty delegates from seaports, airports and nominated officers inland will have an opportunity to practice and discuss imported food sampling technique with expert speakers discussing Public Analyst work, PHE work and FSA surveillance work.
Cost will be £99 or £79 for early birds for APHA/CIEH members and £150 or £125 for early birds non members and will include lunch and refreshments.
